Catherine Jennings, Flute
Catherine received her Bachelor of Music in Flute Performance from DePaul University, School of Music, in Chicago. There she studied with Victoria Jicha and Kathryn Lukas. Other teachers include Lyon Leifer and Barbara Breeden. Catherine’s interest in contemporary music led her to Stacey Pelinka, with whom she currently studies. Catherine is an active chamber music player in the Bay Area, and apart from her quintet, sfiato, and various other chamber ensembles, she is principle flutist with Prometheus Symphony Orchestra. Catherine holds a master degree in Library and Information Science from San Jose State University, and is the music librarian at Oakland Public Library.
